Howard loves the uncomplicated simplicity and the industrial functionality of the shape of this vintage French copper and brass 'Pulverisateur Muratori' spray. The evidence of wear associated with years of use strangely complement the polished body of the spray and gives the piece character. The vintage spray unit lends itself perfectly to being converted into an upright table light, where the light fitting is mounted in the top of the pump tube so that the LED bulb appears to float over the unit, which allows the domed top of the body to reflect the light. Up-cycling of the vintage French spray unit creates a beautifully simple sculptural industrial table light with the character of age created by past use.
