GDPR Notice

We collect your name, address, and contact details solely for the purpose of processing and dispatching your craft box order, unless you have given permission for us to send you updates about our future events.

Your information is kept secure, is never shared with third parties (except as required for delivery), and is retained only as long as necessary to fulfil your order and comply with legal obligations.

Refund Policy for The Art Exhibitionists Craft Boxes

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have the right to cancel their purchase of a craft box within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund. The craft box must be returned unused and in its original condition and packaging.

To request a refund, contact us within 14 days of delivery at info.at.exhibitionists@gmail.com. Once we receive the returned craft box and confirm its condition, we will process your refund within 14 days. Return postage is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty or not as described.

If your craft box arrives damaged or incomplete, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery at info.at.exhibitionists@gmail.com.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Product Safety & Compliance Disclaimer

For Craft Boxes Containing: Acrylic paints, varnish, brushes, tin cans, felting needles, felt, plastics, paint markers, wooden box, cardboard & canvas, glue, scissors

1. General Product Safety

This craft box complies with the UK General Product Safety Regulations 2005 (GPSR). All components have been risk-assessed for intended use.

  • Small parts warning: Felting needles and plastic components may pose choking hazards. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
  • Sharp tools: Felting needles have sharp points. Adult supervision required for users under 16.
  • Plastic packaging warning: Keep plastic bags away from babies and young children to prevent suffocation.

2. COSHH & Chemical Compliance

  • Art materials (acrylic paints, varnish, markers):
    • Conform to ASTM D-4236 standards for chronic hazard labelling.
    • Acrylic paint markers contain highly pigmented, water-based ink, quick-drying. Store horizontally after use.
    • No intentionally added heavy metals above EU Toy Safety Directive limits.
    • Non-toxic formulation certified by manufacturer. May produce allergic reactions (contains BIT & CMIT/MIT).
    • Varnishes may contain VOCs. Use in well-ventilated areas. Satin varnish contains MIT Adipohydrazide.

3. Mandatory Labelling

All craft boxes include precautionary statements:

  • "Keep away from eyes" (paints/varnish)
  • "Wash hands after use" (general materials)
  • "Not suitable for children under 3" (small parts)
  • QR code linking to the compliance document

4. User Responsibilities

  • Recommended for ages 14+. Adult supervision required under 16.
  • This is not a toy.
  • Use protective covers when working with varnishes.
  • Dispose of sharp tools responsibly.
  • Avoid ingestion of any materials.
  • First aid: Rinse eyes immediately if contaminated. Seek medical advice if irritation persists.

5. Product Recall Procedure

At The Art Exhibitionists, customer safety is a top priority. In the event of a recall:

  • Immediate Notification: We will notify affected customers using provided contact details.
  • Public Announcement: Details will be published on our website and social media. Regulatory bodies will be informed if necessary.
  • Batch Identification: Each craft box includes a batch code (found on the instruction sheet under Health and Safety).
  • Return and Refund/Replacement: Return shipping costs covered. Customers may choose a full refund or a replacement.

  • Ongoing Monitoring: We continue to monitor and ensure compliance and safety.

If you believe you have received a craft box subject to a recall, please discontinue use immediately and contact us for further instructions.

6. Environmental Compliance

Cardboard packaging meets UK Packaging Waste Regulations. Plastic components are marked with resin identification codes.

Important Notice

While all materials are non-toxic when used as intended, we recommend:

  • Workspace preparation: Cover surfaces, use aprons.
  • Ventilation: Use varnishes in well-ventilated areas.
  • Storage: Keep materials in original containers with lids secured.
  • Disposal: Follow local regulations for chemical waste (varnishes/paint residues).
