Returns & Refunds Policy
Effective October 2025
1. 14-Day Returns Period
In compliance with UK consumer law, customers have the right to return artwork purchased through The Art Exhibitionists website within 14 calendar days of receipt, for any reason.
2. Returns Process
● To request a return, customers must notify The Art Exhibitionists in writing (by email) info.at.exhibitionists@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving the artwork. Please include your order number and reason for return.
● After your return request is confirmed, the artwork must be shipped back within 14 days. The item must be returned in its original condition and original packaging, or equivalent secure packaging, to the address provided by the seller.
● The customer is responsible for return shipping costs, unless the artwork is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described.
3. Insurance Requirement
● Both sellers and buyers are required to arrange adequate insurance to cover the full value of the artwork throughout shipping—whether sending or returning an item.
● If an artwork is lost or damaged in transit and adequate insurance was not arranged, liability may rest with the responsible party, as per our terms and UK consumer law.
4. Refunds
● When the returned artwork is received in its original condition, a full refund will be processed using the original payment method within 14 days.
● If the item is not returned in its original condition (damaged, incomplete, or with packaging missing), a deduction may be made from your refund to reflect any diminished value.
● Refunds may be withheld until the seller receives the item or receives evidence of its return.
5. Damaged or Faulty Artwork
● If your artwork arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs on info.at.exhibitionists@gmail.com or via our website https://www.theartexhibitionists.co.uk/. The Art Exhibitionists will coordinate with the seller to arrange either a replacement, repair, or a full refund, including return shipping.
6. Seller and Buyer Responsibilities
● The Art Exhibitionists acts as the online sales conduit. Sellers are solely responsible for packaging and dispatching artworks, insurance during delivery, and for arranging returns with the buyer.
● Buyers are responsible for returning artwork in secure packaging and insuring the return where appropriate.
7. Works Not Eligible for Return
● Bespoke or custom-made artwork, or pieces commissioned to your specification, are exempt from the 14-day returns policy unless found to be faulty or not as described.
8. Packaging and Shipping Standards
● Sellers must follow The Art Exhibitionists’ Packaging and Delivery Guidelines to ensure safe transit.
● Returned items should be repackaged using the original materials or equivalent.
