Born in Bolton, England, where Stewart lived for three decades. He then studied Fine Art and Illustration before working in design for the retail sector in the southern counties.
Now living in the beautiful surroundings of Buckinghamshire, Stewart’s passion for art has seen him exhibit his work in local galleries/exhibitions and produce many illustrations for a variety of clients including the National Portrait Gallery.
“I find working with collage succours with spontaneous reactions to how I observe and feel the World around me. It keeps me away from realism yet still portrays those fundamental qualities. More importantly collage depicts a great sense of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience as well as unusual visual angles”.
