What Are The Art Exhibitionists? The Art Exhibitionists are affordable art experts, passionate about connecting talented artists and makers with people who love creativity, originality and beautiful things. Founded by a group of artists and friends in Buckinghamshire, we recognised that many talented local artists struggle to find opportunities to exhibit their work, reach new audiences and build sustainable creative businesses. We set out to change that. Today, we curate some of the most distinctive art exhibitions in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, showcasing original art, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, jewellery, woodwork and contemporary craft in unique and unexpected locations. From our early beginnings exhibiting in private houses and Open Gardens events, we have grown into a thriving creative community, hosting large-scale exhibitions featuring more than 60 artists in remarkable venues including historic churches, barns, courtyards, a restaurant and, most recently, the therapeutic gardens of Lindengate in Wendover. Our exhibitions have been held in locations including Princes Risborough, West Wycombe, Bledlow, Bradenham, Great Hampden, Wendover and across the wider Chilterns, attracting visitors from Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire and beyond. More Than an Art Exhibition What makes The Art Exhibitionists different is that we believe art should be experienced, not simply viewed. Our events combine carefully curated affordable art exhibitions with artist demonstrations, live music, wine tastings, artisan food, creative workshops and hands-on masterclasses. Whether you are looking to buy original art for your home, discover talented local artists, learn a new skill or simply enjoy a wonderful day out, our events offer something for everyone. Visitors often tell us that our exhibitions feel like festivals of creativity, that they are magical, and not like traditional art fairs; we rather like these descriptions. Learn, Create and Be Inspired Alongside our exhibitions, we run a popular programme of art workshops and masterclasses led by professional artists and makers. Over recent years, participants have explored everything from watercolour painting, acrylics and illustration to etching, monoprinting, jewellery making, candle making, wire sculpture and mixed media techniques. These sessions are designed to be accessible, enjoyable and inspiring, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced creative looking to develop new skills. We also run weekly art classes in Princes Risborough during term time, creating a welcoming and supportive environment where people can relax, learn and rediscover their creativity. Many participants describe the sessions as both therapeutic and uplifting — a chance to switch off from everyday life and immerse themselves in making something beautiful. Supporting Artists One of our core missions is to provide a meaningful platform for artists and makers. Through our exhibitions, website, social media channels and newsletters, we actively promote artists and help connect them with collectors, galleries, interior designers and art lovers. Our online Artist Hub allows visitors to discover artists, learn about their creative journeys and purchase original artwork, limited edition prints, sculpture, ceramics and handmade gifts throughout the year. We are passionate about making original art accessible and helping people discover pieces that bring personality, beauty and inspiration into their homes. Supporting Our Communities Giving back is at the heart of everything we do. Since our formation, we have partnered with and supported a wide range of local charities and community organisations. Through ticket donations, fundraising activities and promotional support, we have helped raise awareness and funds for causes including Thames Valley Air Ambulance, Wycombe Homeless Connection, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, the Oxford Kidney Unit Trust Fund, Ukraine to Chilterns CIO and many local churches and community groups. We are currently proud to support Lindengate, the Buckinghamshire-based mental health and nature charity whose therapeutic gardens provide life-changing support for people experiencing mental health challenges. The Journey Continues The Art Exhibitionists was born from a simple idea: that art should be accessible, enjoyable and celebrated by everyone. What started as a handful of artists exhibiting in gardens has grown into a thriving creative organisation that champions artists, supports local charities, nurtures creativity and brings people together through extraordinary events in extraordinary places. We are still only at the beginning of our story, and we have many exciting adventures planned.
