The Lindengate Festival of Art & Gardens is a four-day celebration of art, creativity, music, gardens and wellbeing, taking place over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Hosted within the beautiful six-acre therapeutic gardens of Lindengate Charity, the event combines a high-quality art fair with stunning garden experiences, live entertainment, demonstrations, workshops and refreshments.

Lindengate is a Buckinghamshire-based mental health charity that uses gardening, nature and outdoor activities to support people experiencing mental health challenges. The charity's beautiful therapeutic gardens provide a safe and nurturing environment for wellbeing, recovery and connection.

We are delighted that visitors to the festival will be among the first to experience Lindengate's brand-new Japanese-style Water Garden.

Designed as a peaceful space for reflection and tranquillity, this stunning addition complements the existing gardens and is expected to become one of Lindengate's most popular features.

Yes.

Visitors can enjoy a range of refreshments throughout the day from Lindengate's new café, including hot and cold drinks, homemade cakes, light lunches and a selection of freshly prepared dishes.

For those wishing to relax and make a day of it, there will also be a wine bar serving a selection of wines and beers throughout the festival weekend, making it the perfect place to unwind while enjoying the gardens, art and live music.

Absolutely.

The festival is great for families, with beautiful gardens to explore, a family trail, live music, demonstrations, creative activities and plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature.

Children under 16 attend free of charge but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Most areas of the site are accessible.

Please note that the storytelling area is not accessible due to its location within the gardens.

An accessible toilet with ramp access is available on site.

As much of the event takes place outdoors within the gardens, we recommend:

• Comfortable footwear suitable for walking on gravel, grass and uneven surfaces
• Weather-appropriate clothing

Yes. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Dog owners are responsible for ensuring their pets remain under control and do not disturb other visitors, exhibitors, artwork, wildlife or garden areas.

Please clean up after your dog and dispose of waste responsibly.

The festival takes place within a working garden environment. Visitors should take care and be aware of:

• Uneven ground

• Garden tools or maintenance equipment that may occasionally be in use

The gardens are designed to encourage and support wildlife and pollinators, so visitors should expect to encounter insects, bees and other beneficial wildlife.

The gardens include water features, ponds and the new Japanese-style Water Garden.

While these areas are clearly marked and cordoned where appropriate, parents and guardians must supervise children closely at all times.

Most of the artwork, sculpture, ceramics and contemporary craft on display will be available to purchase during the festival.

The majority of sales will be handled through The Art Exhibitionists' dedicated sales desk, conveniently located near the entrance. Some exhibiting artists and makers will also be present throughout the event and may process purchases directly from their stands.

Whether you're looking for a statement piece for your home, a unique gift or simply something that catches your eye, you'll find a wide variety of original and affordable work available to buy. Every purchase supports independent artists, makers and the wider creative community.

Many of the artworks displayed at the festival are original pieces and may be fragile.

Visitors are asked not to touch artwork unless invited to do so by the artist or exhibitor.

Any damage caused to artwork, displays or exhibition property may be chargeable and must be paid for by the person responsible.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising children around exhibits.

Yes. Parking is available on site. Further parking information and directions will be provided closer to the event.

Advance booking is strongly recommended to take advantage of the Early Bird ticket price and to help us manage visitor numbers.

Workshop and masterclass places are expected to sell out quickly and should be booked as soon as they become available.
