Event Description
Explore the playful, unpredictable world of monoprinting with artist Liam Biswell in this experimental mixed media workshop. You’ll use an etching press to create rich, characterful prints, combining techniques and materials from different printmaking styles to produce one-off pieces on beautiful papers – and even try printing on fabric.
Working with a range of mark-making tools, inks, collage, chine-collé and paper cut-outs, you’ll build layered, textural prints and learn how to develop them further with collage after printing. We’ll cover monoprint techniques, mark-making, using the etching press, paper cutting and painting with ink. Beginners are very welcome, and all materials are provided.

Food and drink will keep you happily fuelled, with coffee, tea, cakes, toasties, Jones’ Pies and Lloyds Wines on offer, plus wine tastings and live music all weekend, including traditional Morris dancing on Friday 1 May. Entry to Bradenham Art Fair is £5 per person (children under 14 go free but still need a ticket), which includes access to the whole site; your entry is included in your masterclass fee.
