Event Description

Using the text Tell Me a Dragon as a stimulus, families will conjure up their own dragon and use clay to bring them to life. The workshop involves designing a dragon eye, creating it out of air dry clay and designing and painting the egg it hatched from.

Each child attending needs a paid for ticket, adults can accompany the workshop for free, if they wish, but must have a valid entry ticket to the Festival.

Ages 6+
Approx. 1.5 to 2 hour workshop

Wildwood Wonders is led by Shanie Noakes, an enthusiastic and experienced educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education with an English Specialism and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). She brings a wealth of experience working and creating alongside children and young people aged 2 to 18 in diverse settings, including traditional classrooms, forest schools, youth centres and even by a frozen lake in Finland or Japan’s smallest independent school. As an adult diagnosed with ADHD, she is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive environment where every learner can thrive, create and grow in a way that suits them best.

Please note before booking:

A responsible adult (aged 18 or over) must remain on site at all times while children are attending their workshop. Each accompanying adult requires a valid entry ticket (£8), which includes your charitable donation to Lindengate and grants full access to the beautiful six-acre site.

Why not drop your child at their workshop, then relax with a refreshment while you explore the gardens, soak up the art, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, listen to live music (afternoon sessions only), or attend one of our gardening talks?

If you have younger children with you, they may enjoy one of our free storytelling sessions (please book a free ticket in advance to reserve your place) or simply have fun discovering the many hidden corners of this unique setting.

Before completing your booking, please ensure you have filled in the form below with your child's name and your contact details.
